Draft. This text has not been reviewed by a lawyer yet and the business details below are placeholders.
This explains what Jenish collects when you use LancerFlow, why, and what you can do about it.
What we store
- Your account: name, email address, a hashed password (we cannot read it), currency, and optional business details for invoices.
- Your work data: the clients, contacts, projects, tasks, payments and notes you enter. This can include other people's names, emails and phone numbers. You decide what to enter.
- Billing: your plan status and a Stripe customer reference. Card details go directly to Stripe. We never see or store them.
- Security records: a short-lived log of sign-in and sign-up attempts, used to block guessing and abuse.
How we use it
- To run the service for you, show your dashboard and create your exports and invoices.
- To send emails about your account: email confirmation, password reset, and an optional daily reminder when something is late. You can turn reminders off in Settings.
- To send invoices you ask us to send. We email your client the invoice link when you press send, from your account, and your replies go to you. Anyone who has an invoice link can view that invoice, until you turn the link off.
- To keep the service secure, and to take payment for paid plans.
We do not sell your data, show ads, or use your clients' details for anything except running your account.
Cookies
We use one cookie, to keep you signed in. It is needed for the service to work. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Who else handles your data
We use these providers to run the service: hosting (Vercel), database (Neon or similar), payments (Stripe) and email delivery (Resend). They process data only on our behalf.
Keeping and deleting data
- You can download everything as spreadsheets from Settings at any time.
- You can delete your account from Settings. This permanently deletes your clients, contacts, projects, tasks, payments and notes.
- Backups kept by our database provider may hold deleted data for a short time before they expire.
- We may keep billing records as long as tax law requires.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, and to object to some uses. Most of this you can do yourself in Settings. For anything else, email us.
Your own clients' data
If you enter personal details about your clients, you are usually the one responsible for them under privacy law, and we act as your service provider. Only enter what you have a reason to keep.
Security
Passwords are hashed, connections use HTTPS, and every record is tied to your account. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.
